23 minutes | single-channel video | 2022
In Living Room, Kori Koolman simultaneously embodies both a man and a woman. The two characters sit amidst the remnants of a domestic space, navigating their steps and miscommunicating with one another.
Created during the COVID-19 pandemic, this piece was part of the video iteration of the NY Butoh Institute Festival. It was later translated into a live performance and showcased at the Queer Butoh Festival at the Brick Theater in Brooklyn.
